One day adventure..

Junior Suite - totally in blue.

Is sometimes enough to get out of ordinary duties and environment. Yesterday, I decided to meet Jacqueline, John and Mieke at a wonderful luxurious hotel, about one hour from the coast. They were coming from another direction, so we couldn´t go together. Everything was fine until I came across with some roadwork and got lost. The funny thing here in Spain is the sign-system, there is normally one sign that tells you the direction, and then after turns and roundabouts - without further signs - you get lost, they must think one is enough. After asking a few people, all with difficult accents, typical smalltown accents wich are tricky to understand, all leading me in the wrong direction as well, I had to trust my intuition, and finally got it right.

When I arrived, exhausted and sweaty, (up there 30 degrees) they were already there waiting since almost an hour..Bueno, to arrive safe and sound is the most important in the end, and the landscape on the way was just stunningly beautiful, totally different from the coast, with green, green mountains, wonderful fragrances, and lovely colours.

Anyway, the hotel is wonderful, situated in a small town, seems to be the only business there. It has 40 luxury rooms and suites, and an amazing spa with origins from the 1700 century. After spending a few hours checking out the place, we went to have a typical lunch at a local "fonda", more or less like eating in someones house, nice and genuine.
